Sermon Distribution

The Sermon Distribution Ministry’s purpose is to glorify Jesus Christ. The Lord has ordained through the preaching of His Word that men, women and children might come to know him, as well as be forgiven of their sins.

Matthew 28:18-20 – And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

We record the sermons each Sunday and then duplicate them. These discs are given free to any who request them. You may request your first set of introductory sermons by clicking on the button to the right and filling out the order form.

Once you have listened to the introductory sermons, you can request to receive our Sunday sermons each month for free. After a year of sermon discs, we will request you to confirm that you would still like to receive the discs. To request to be added on our monthly list or continue to be on the list, please do one of the following: Send a follow-up E-Mail requesting to be added or continued on the monthly list, or call (405) 387-4555.

More Details

In 2005 the church began broadcasting the Sunday services live on the Internet in both video and audio formats. Since 2004, audio files of the sermons have been available for downloading from the church’s website. The church now has the equipment to reproduce and distribute audio and video recordings of the sermons on CD and DVD. Sermons are available in the following formats:

This is the most common format used and can be played in any CD or DVD player. Each CD will contain only one or two sermons; therefore, 4–10 CDs will be required for a month of sermons.

This is a compressed audio format. A disc that contains sermon files in the mp3 format can be played on a compatible CD or DVD player. Typically, a personal computer or mobile device is used to play mp3 files. Each CD can contain several months of sermon files.  This is the same format that is available to download in the SermonArchive section of Sherwood’s website.

This format will require a DVD player. Each DVD will contain only one or two sermons; therefore, 4–10 DVDs will be required for a month of sermons. Each DVD will have a menu to select sermons.

To ensure that the freely distributed sermon CDs or DVDs are actually being used, we ask that you indicate your desire to receiving the sermons for the next 12 months.  You may notify us by sending an email to sermon_request@sherwoodbaptist.com or by calling the church at 405-387-4555.

For those who are able to listen to the LIVE sermon broadcasts (here) or view videos in the SermonArchive (here), we encourage you to do so in lieu of receiving the CDs, or DVDs.
